Trevor Askin Q&A's
Who and what inspires your work?
The ethereal movements of birds is one and observing life in general. I let my work speak for itself.
What do you think it is about your work that captures the heart of collectors?
In the art world there is rarely a new genre. Most artwork in today's world is basically a repeat of different styles over millennia. The curvilinear style I’ve
developed is unique to me, there is no master mould. Art collectors go for the uniqueness.
Tell us about your creative process?
The creation of each sculpture starts with sheets of wax which are gradually coaxed into the artwork that initially I have conceptualised in my mind.
Tell us about your success as an artist
I have been living off my art for many a year now. Highlights are international commissions and the most wonderful people from the other side of the
world who have visited us and acquired many a work.
What can you expect to see in this exhibition?
A cross section of my thoughts.
